Who this app is for.

Posters, descriptions and ratings for essentially everything released. That includes horror, crime and adult drama, so mature themes, violence and references to alcohol, tobacco and drugs appear in descriptions and artwork - the same things you would see on a streaming service or in a video shop.

Reviews and comments come from other people, not from us. They are moderated after the fact rather than before, so occasional strong language is possible.

Titles our catalogue provider marks as adult are excluded from every search and browse result. There is no way for a user to upload an image or video, so explicit material cannot be introduced that way either.

There is no direct-message feature. Comments are attached to a film or a review and are visible to anyone who can see that film or review - nobody can start a private conversation with a young person here.

There are no adverts, no advertising identifiers and nothing is sold to anyone. Optional analytics are off until switched on.

A profile can be private, and follow requests can require approval. What each section of a profile shows - watching now, lists, recent activity - is set individually in Settings.

Any account can be blocked and any review or comment reported. A blocked person cannot see the profile or interact with it. Reports are reviewed one by one and decisions can be appealed from inside the app.

Every kind of notification can be switched off separately.

The full history can be exported at any time, and the account deleted permanently from Settings. See account deletion.

Signing up asks for an email address and nothing else. Our terms require users to be 13 or older, and the App Store rating is 13+, but we do not ask for a date of birth or check one. If it matters that a device cannot install a 13+ app, use Screen Time on iOS or parental controls on Android - those work at the store level, which is stronger than anything we could do in the app.
