1. Who we are
I've Seen is a movie and television tracking app operated from Portugal. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to [email protected].
2. What we collect
Without an account, tracking stays on your device. Limited technical crash diagnostics may still be sent when the app fails, without being linked to an account. With an account, we store your email, username, display name, avatar colour, country preference, tracking history, episode progress, ratings, watchlist and lists, reviews, comments, likes, follows, blocks, reports and notification preferences. We do not request precise location, contacts, photos or advertising identifiers.
3. Why we process it
We process account and tracking data to provide the service you request, including sync, social features and enabled notifications. We process reports and limited technical security data under our legitimate interest in protecting the service. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for third-party targeted advertising.
4. Analytics, diagnostics and cookies
The app contains no advertising SDKs and the public website sets no advertising cookies. Pseudonymous product analytics use PostHog EU Cloud and a self-hosted, cookieless Plausible service; events are not linked to your account and exclude review text, search terms and messages. Crash and error diagnostics use our self-hosted GlitchTip service through the Sentry SDK. Reports may include stack traces, app version, platform and technical breadcrumbs. User-interaction performance tracing, screenshots, session replay and default PII collection are disabled.
5. Service providers and international data
Account data is hosted by Supabase in the European Union (Frankfurt). Resend may process an email address to deliver confirmation and password-reset messages. Pseudonymous analytics are processed by PostHog on EU Cloud and our self-hosted Plausible service; crash diagnostics use our self-hosted GlitchTip service. Catalogue information comes from TMDB, with watch-provider information from JustWatch via TMDB. Trailer playback uses YouTube. Requests to those catalogue services are subject to their policies and do not include your I've Seen account identity.
6. Visibility and social choices
Your profile may be public, followers-only or private. Lists and diary entries have their own visibility settings. You can require approval for follow requests and can block other members. Content you publish is visible to the audience you choose.
7. Retention
Account information is kept while your account exists. Account deletion removes the account and associated content. Reports may be retained in anonymised form where necessary to preserve moderation history, meet legal duties or prevent abuse.
8. Your rights
You can access and export data, correct profile information, reset tracking or delete your account from the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to restriction, objection, portability and complaint to a supervisory authority. In Portugal, the supervisory authority is the CNPD.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including authenticated access and database access controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Contact us promptly if you believe your account or information has been compromised.
10. Children
I've Seen is not directed to children under 13. Local law may require a higher minimum age or parental consent for online services.
11. Changes
Material changes will be communicated in the app or on this page before they take effect where required. The effective date below will be updated.
